Move Gurus FAQ's

Move Gurus charges from the time the movers arrive at the first location of your move. The time continues until the movers are finished at the final location. We then charge the time “back to your original location” for a round trip travel time. If you have a one location appointment, we charge a 30 minute minimum travel time.

Yes! Anything non-breakable such as clothes, towels or linens can stay in drawers. The movers will shrink wrap drawers closed to ensure everything stays in place. Items that cannot be left in drawers: breakable items, weapons, heavy items.

Yes! Furniture assembly and disassembly is included in all moves at no extra charge. Each truck is equipped with tools.

All of our moving trucks are 16ft. They are safer for your items, more compact, and able to fit in tight driveways and steep hills.

We accept cash, credit card, venmo, and cash app. We charge a 3% fee on all credit cards and venmo.

The best way to tip our movers is through cash, but we do accept tips through credit card payments. The standard tipping amount for movers is between 5-20% of the total amount of your move.

Yes, Move Gurus is fully licensed, insured and bonded. Move Gurus is responsible for not more than standard mover’s liability of $.60 per pound of damaged or missing items.

Flat Screen televisions are susceptible to damage from temperature variations, slight bumps, altitude changes, and various other environmental conditions beyond Company’s control. Move Gurus is not responsible for TVs functioning after delivery.

In the unlikely event of damage during your move, the customer must file a claim with our company within 7 days of the move date. Please call our office to file a claim.
